Don't underestimate the power of corkboard and magnet board organization.  I used to have a pile of mail and paperwork to go through all the time.  Due to the pile, I ran the risk of losing sight of bill due dates, invite RSVPs, not to mention the constant look of clutter on my counter top.  Now everything is neatly organized and yet stylish with Kenwood Lane push pins and magnets!

Here are a few quick tips to help make the most of everyday organization. 

1. We can't count on our memory for everything...get in the habit of jotting down a list of things to accomplish at the beginning of each week.  Then post that list on the corkboard or magnet board.  It will help focus your days and ensure you remember to do the to-do's e.g. pick up stamps, reschedule that doctor's appointment, etc.
2. And the winners are...pull out critical pieces from the mail each day that need to be addressed within the coming days and weeks.  These can include things like bills and invites. You may even want to consider assigning a certain area of the corkboard that is reserved for things to address every Sunday evening.
3. Don't get caught paying full price...post coupons or discount offers for stores that you visit often. If you know you are headed there later in the day, you can grab those coupons and smile when you save a few bucks. 
4. A picture is worth a thousand words...and has the power to remind us of what is important in life. So amongst the lists, the bills, the next steps, it's nice to glance at the special people and moments in our lives.  You can even display an image of your next vacation destination so you have something to look forward to!
